In Guyana, the United Nations System works with a range of partners to deliver the UN Caribbean Multi-Country Sustainable Development Framework (MSDCF) 2022-2026. The UN Guyana Team works together to ensure the delivery of tangible results in support of Guyana’s development agenda. The country has an SDG Global rank of 104 out of 156. The UN System has helped Guyana achieve a number of development milestones.
UGGI is administratively within the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Guyana. The Institute collaborates with Departments across all Faculties/Schools/Centres and other units that currently exist to achieve its Mission and Vision. It will not duplicate what is done in other departments of the University of Guyana or in other agencies in Guyana, but will attempt to bring fresh knowledge insights and innovative methodologies and processes to bear on existing programmes and initiatives.
